I HAVE A SMALL DRYWALL REPAIR JOB OR SOME PLASTER DAMAGE, CAN YOU HELP ME?

Yes. We specialize in small jobs, such as water damage repairs, electrical or plumbing changes or drywall patch work. Jon Benbrooks drywall can also repair cracked and damaged plaster walls found throughout the historic homes in and around Minneapolis and St. Paul.

WHO DOES THE ACTUAL WORK ON MY PROJECT?

Jon Benbrooks Drywall is a proprietorship owned and operated by Jon Benbrooks. Most small jobs are handled personally by Jon himself. On larger jobs, such as a whole house or building projects, we'll connect with trusted trade partners to assist in completing your project.

I HAVE A SMALLER JOB, CAN YOU GIVE ME A PRICE OVER THE PHONE?

With so many variables, it's nearly impossible to give a precise estimate without first seeing the work. We strive to provide accurate and fair pricing up front, which is why we offer a complimentary estimate for drywall projects large or small. In some cases we'll review drawings or plans however, most require a visit to the work space or home. Estimates may be presented on the spot however, it's common to provide a written proposal within 1-2 days of the visit.

IF I HAVE YOU OUT TO PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE, AM I GOING TO BE SUBJECTED TO HIGH PRESSURE SALES TACTICS?

No. The purpose of the appointment is to provide the customer with answers to their questions, as well as determine the materials needed and how much their project will cost to complete. We'll often make a follow-up call to ensure the bid/estimate has been received since they're typically sent by email.

WILL I BE ASKED TO PAY MONEY UP FRONT TO START MY PROJECT?

It depends. For smaller jobs taking one to a couple days, the costs will be carried by Jon Benbrooks Drywall and we'll receive payment at the time of completion. In the case of larger jobs of more than a couple days or weeks, it's likely to request a deposit to get the project on the calendar, cover the acquisition of drywall, job materials and partial payment. This will be known prior to the start of the job and will be stated in writing.

DO YOU WORK AT AN HOURLY RATE?

We rarely do work at an hourly rate. The majority of our work is bid at a set price. A set price prior to the start of the job provides clarity to both the contractor and the customer and is common practice in the building trades. It's the best way for customers to compare pricing and know how much their project will cost before any work is started.

HOW CAN I WORK TO KEEP MY BILL TO A MINIMUM? Will you work with me to keep the cost down?

We'll be happy to work with you as far as offering suggestions or advice on how to keep the cost of your drywall repair/project reasonable. For example, on occasion, a customer will hang their own drywall and hire us to complete the taping, finishing and any ceiling texture work.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS FOR PAYMENT?

Jon Benbrooks Drywall accepts cash and personal or business checks as payment for work in progress or work that has been completed. Payment for all work is due at the time of completion, unless otherwise arranged prior to starting the job.
